Swimming Fun
Last week we went to Valley Center to visit my friend Marsha. The munchkins loved going, because Marsha has her own pool in her backyard! The water was perfect on another one of our 100 degree plus days! Isaac and Isabella decided to be brave and go off her diving board. However they had the noodle to help keep them afloat.
One thing they both loved is watching George, the pool cleaning vacuum robot, clean the pool. This was the first thing they told Matt about when they got home!

Swimming Lessons
Our summer seems to be flying by TOO quickly. Therefore, I had to get the munchkins into swimming lessons before the summer was over. They have both improved greatly since the beginning of summer with their water skills. They both now can float on their back. Isaac does a pretty good job of swimming underwater for a very short distance. Isabella has been right there making sure he doesn't learn any new tricks that she can't do. Isaac was the proudest of himself for going off the low dive. He did have a little help from Miss Kathy, his preschool teacher, she just happened to be swimming laps and walked him to the end of the board and then Miss Rachel, swimming teacher, could be there to catch him. Isabella decided not to give the low dive a try.

Summer Fun at the Creek
Isaac and Isabella have made a new discovery at the farm . . . the creek! They have a blast throwing rocks, building dams, and just splashing around. However, we need to find a different location in the creek to go to. I think this was the last time we can walk through the corn field. It is a little difficult to find where you are going when the corn is over my head.
I told Isaac and Bella that Aunt Wanda and I would take our baby dolls and their little bath tubs and float them down the creek as kids. The two of us would spend hours down there as little girls!

Jumping off the Low Dive
Last week the little ones and some teacher friends made a road trip down to Valley Center to visit Marsha, who I use to teach third grade with at West. Marsha has a pool in her back yard!
Isabella had fun just playing with pool toys up by the steps.
Isaac loved just floating and jumping in.
Isaac, who doesn't want to put his head underwater decided that it would be great to jump off the low dive. He jumped off about five times. Getting braver each time. This was the first time he jumped off with some assistance.

First Trip to the Pool 2010
Today we made our first trip to the city pool. Isaac jumped in first thing. Isabella was very timid and didn't want to get out of the shallow water or far away from the side of the pool at first. However, she started to warm up a little by the time it was to go home. Good thing, because I bought a family pool pass for the summer.

Summer Fun Has Just Begun
Today was my first day home with the little monkeys for summer break! We made the most of it by enjoying the hot sunny summer weather.

Swimming at the City Pool
The kids and I have been going to the pool several times a week since the end of June. Isabella's favorite thing to do is bob like a sea horse in the deep water. Jumping off the side is what Isaac seems to like the best. Matt came along on Sunday evening so I had an opportunity to snap a few pictures.
The thrill of hitting the water!

First Swim of Summer
Isaac and Isabella finally had an opportunity to use their little swimming pool for the first time this summer! They really had a great time. Their jumping abilities I thought were incredible, but I am their mom.
