The candy bucket was getting too heaving for the poor bumble bee to carry.
Trick or Treating on Cat Creek
Heading Home!
I know we are almost to Thanksgiving, but I haven't posted my Halloween pictures yet! So here they are! Isabella of course was an animal this year, because she is always an animal. Isaac of course was dressed up like an occupation, because he is always picks something realistic. This year he wanted to be a cowboy, I know big surprise it wasn't a farmer.
It was almost a month ago when we went to our favorite pumpkin patch (Little Munchkin Pumpkin Patch) with our little munchkins. It was a beautiful fall October day! The kids loved everything from the zip line to the hay bale maze, to the hay bale jump to the tree house, to the pumpkin patch. They loved the new additions of the tunnel slide and the old delivery truck, too. Matt and I enjoyed our afternoon out, too!
Tonight we carved pumpkins. Isabella thought they smelled too bad to help, as you can see from the pictures. Isaac didn't want to get his hands dirty with pumpkins guts. He only wanted to do the carving. However, Matt and I enjoyed carving the pumpkins, and hopefully tomorrow everyone will enjoy eating roasted pumpkin seeds!
Halloween pictures this year may have resemblance of the past. Isabella decided that she wanted to be a giraffe again this year. Which was fine with me, since I did spend a great deal of time making her costume last year, and after this year it will probably not fit her. She once again made a darling giraffe, however she was disappointed that she didn't have a long neck. Isaac did dress up as a farmer for preschool, again this year. However, when it came time to trick or treat he put on his fireman costume from when he was two, back then we rolled up the sleeves. He made a handsome little firefighter. It was totally acceptable to be a firefighter since Uncle John is a farmer and a firefighter.
Isaac and Isabella enjoyed going Trick or Treating Saturday night. They were very excited to go Trick or Treating in the dark with their flashlights and glow sticks! It was MUCH warmer than Friday night going downtown. As you can see we didn't have to wear the gloves and winter jackets.
Isaac and Isabella picked very suitable costumes this year for Halloween. Isaac was a farmer. Which makes sense since this is ALL he talks about and plays with these days. Isabella picked to be a giraffe. (Thankfully once we went to the fabric store she forgot all about being a dinosaur!) This is also very fitting since her bed LOOKS like a zoo. She is really into the animals on the Savannah. (Remember her birthday a couple of weeks ago with the giraffe and zebra cake.) I am particularly proud of Isabella's costume since I made it for her. It was fun putting all the details into the dress and headband.
We took them Trick or Treating downtown Wamego Friday night. Even though it was much colder than last year they really did enjoy it a lot more this year. Hopefully tomorrow night we will also go out and go to a few houses, too. They really just want to ring the doorbell and say Trick or Treat!
We visited the Little Munchkin Pumpkin Patch on Sunday afternoon. The kids really loved the hay bale jump again. They also loved the hay bale maze and train ride. We took Flat Zach Flax with us to the pumpkin patch, too. He is the flat boy in the green shirt in some of the pictures.
