Tuttle Creek Spillway

We recently visited the spillway one evening. Isaac and Isabella had never been there.

Isaac tremendously enjoyed watching the water come out of the tube!

Isabella did not leave her mother's arms and preferred mom walking in the parking lot, not by the fence.

Father's Day

Isaac and Isabella enjoyed Father's Day not only with their father, but their grandfathers, too. Of course this also meant that Matt and Cathy got to spend the day with their fathers.

Playing Doctor

Isaac and Isabella have for the past couple of weeks have been pretend playing taking out kidneys. Isaac usually plays the part of Dr. Murphy and Isabella is usually Dr. Malin. Last night before going to bed Isabella discusses taking out her elephant's kidney. It went kind of like this.
"What are you doing with Elle?" asked Cathy.
"I had to take Elle's kidney out." Isabella stated.
"Why?" asked Cathy.
"It just wasn't working. I put a new kidney in." Isabella said.
"Where did you get the new kidney from?" asked Cathy.
Isabella stated, "I bought it at Sherwin-Williams."
"Oh, I didn't know they sold kidneys there! I thought it was just a place to buy paint." stated Cathy.
"Yes, mom they do." stated Isabella.

Children's Place or Children's Mercy
Isabella said, "Isaac we need to go to Children's Place and get your kidney taken out."
Isaac exclaims angrily, "No, we buy sunglasses at The Children's Place! I went to Children's Mercy to get my kidney out!
"No! Isaac!" exclaims Isabella.
"Whatever!" exclaims Isaac and walks off.

First Swim of Summer

Isaac and Isabella finally had an opportunity to use their little swimming pool for the first time this summer! They really had a great time. Their jumping abilities I thought were incredible, but I am their mom.

Harvest Time At the Farm

Wheat harvest at the farm occurred over the weekend. Isaac declared that he must be ALL healed up from surgery since wheat harvest was finally here! Isabella really didn't care much about harvest. She thinks the combine is TOO loud.

Isaac's only complaint was that his mom rode in the buddy seat of the combine with him. He keeps telling her he is a big boy and can ride by himself! He is only 31/2 and doesn't think he needs his mom.
