Granpa's 80th Birthday

Grandpa Wilber celebrated his 80th birthday this past Monday.  We headed up to Belleville int he afternoon to enjoy a birthday dinner with family at the Pizza Hut!  Everyone enjoyed some family time!

Just a Little a Bit of Chalk

The other night the little ones got out the chalk and made their won town they could scoot around on their scooters.  I added the touches of writing the names in chalk!
In white chalk under Wilber Isaac wrote "welcome."

Isabella's grocery store called "Cat."

All towns need stop signs.

These are the roads he made for his town.

This is the grocery store she drew.

Swimming Lesson Time

This week the kids have been taking swim lessons.  They both were very brave and jumped off the low dive.  You can see in the video that Isaac was a little nervous about doing this!

Pedal Pulling Again

Thursday evening Isaac and Isabella participated int he Pedal Tractor Pull at the Riley County Fair.  Isaac told us he was just doing this for practice, since he already qualified for state.  Isabella just wanted to place and she did!  Isabella received third place in the five year old division.  Way to go Bella!

So Proud!

Enjoying his participant prize - a can of root beer!

Still Smiling!

Isabella just a pulling along.  Long legs are a little bit of a nuisance with a small tractor.

You can see that Isaac's foot slips off the pedal and that stops his momentum. :(

Swimming Fun

Last week we went to Valley Center to visit my friend Marsha.  The munchkins loved going, because Marsha has her own pool in her backyard!  The water was perfect on another one of our 100 degree plus days!  Isaac and Isabella decided to be brave and go off her diving board.  However they had the noodle to help keep them afloat.

One thing they both loved is watching George, the pool cleaning vacuum robot, clean the pool.  This was the first thing they told Matt about when they got home!

Dino Building

My friend Claudeane had given me several of these dino kits when she was cleaning out several years ago.  I thought maybe the munchkins would enjoy building them since they are older.  They helped punch out the wood pieces, but left the building up to me.  Isabella loved the new long neck that I created.  Yes, she was right beside me the entire time during construction making sure I was doing it correctly!

Isabella so excited about the new creation!

Cupcakes

We made cupcakes last week.  The munchkins did all the mixing of ingredients.  I just poured them into the liners for them.  Isabella found a baby bib to put on, since she couldn't find her apron. :) They had a great time frosting the cupcakes, but preferred not to eat the frosted ones.  They ate the cupcakes that we left without frosting.  Matt finally ended up eating the frosted ones.  Not for sure why this happened, they normally always go the frosted ones!

Frosting Time!

Yes, I still need more frosting.

Fourth of July in Wamego

It is now the middle of July, but I am just posting my Fourth of July pictures.  In the morning we went to the park to the small engine show and the car show.  In the evening we went to the parade downtown, and then went to our church's parking lot and watched the fireworks!

Isabella only stayed awake for the first 15 minutes.
