Our Visit to Santa

On our visit to Santa this year Isabella brought her list written out by her on Christmas wrapping paper. She didn't want him to forget what she wanted before he got back to the North Pole. She thinks she is a lot smarter than her brother, since he just told Santa what he wanted!

Christmas Shirts!

Isaac bought a shirt this summer that was SO fitting that said he would trade his sister for a tractor. Of course this made Isabella a little perturbed. When we saw this Christmas shirt at Children's Place it was a MUST have. Isaac has had his Christmas shirt for awile. I bought it after Christmas for a dollar three years ago. Last year it was a little big, but this year it fits perfect. Together the shirts are SO fitting of the two of them!

Fitting Shirts!

It is a love hate relationship with these two.

They are quick to blame the other!

It is never their own fault.

Look at that expression on Isabella's face!  One of the many in her collection!

Isabella's Turkey

I know it is almost Christmas, but here is the turkey Isabella disguised for Thanksgiving this year!  Please notice the use of glitter and jewels!  (She is such a girl!)

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Program

On Friday the Kindergarten held their Thanksgiving Program at school.  Isaac was an Indian, but a little disappointed he didn't get to stand on the risers. He was one of the Indians going to welcome the Pilgrims to the New World!

Where's the Turkey?

Isaac had to disguise a turkey for homework for kindergarten a couple of weeks ago.  He of course turned him into a farmer with a little help from me.

An Actress is Born

Isabella played Zuzu Bailey in  It's a Wonderful Life for the recent high school play.  She had a great deal of fun playing the part, and did a great job learning her lines.

Heading Home!
I know we are almost to Thanksgiving, but I haven't posted my Halloween pictures yet!  So here they are!  Isabella of course was an animal this year, because she is always an animal.  Isaac of course was dressed up like an occupation, because he is always picks something realistic.  This year he wanted to be a cowboy, I know big surprise it wasn't a farmer.

Isabella's Fifth Birthday

Isabella is officially five years old (plus two weeks).  I finally put her birthday video together to share.  It is hard to believe our little girl is already five!

Pumpkin Patch

It was almost a month ago when we went to our favorite pumpkin patch (Little Munchkin Pumpkin Patch) with our little munchkins.  It was a beautiful fall October day!  The kids loved everything from the zip line to the hay bale maze, to the hay bale jump to the tree house, to the pumpkin patch.  They loved the new additions of the tunnel slide and the old delivery truck, too.  Matt and I enjoyed our afternoon out, too!

Soccer Time

Isaac and Isabella had their last soccer game today for the fall season.  Isaac's goal was to score 5 goals in one game.  He made three in several games, but not 5.  He did make two goals in the first quarter today, which he was very proud of.  Isabella almost had her first goal today, but was about six inches off.

Isaac really got into playing soccer this fall.  He did a complete 360 from last spring.  Last year he was always on the outskirts of the game.  This fall, he was aggressive and and helped pull his team together.

Isabella for most of the games was a social butterfly.  Fluttering here and there and always wanting to give her friends from the the other team the ball.  She did say she wanted to play soccer for the snacks.  However, on the last game today she really stepped it up and made many contributions to her team.

Carving Pumpkins

Tonight we carved pumpkins.  Isabella thought they smelled too bad to help, as you can see from the pictures.  Isaac didn't want to get his hands dirty with pumpkins guts.  He only wanted to do the carving.  However, Matt and I enjoyed carving the pumpkins, and hopefully tomorrow everyone will enjoy eating roasted pumpkin seeds!

All Aboard!

<>
Our beautiful Wamego City Park has their train up and running after several years of planning and fundraising.  Wamego has always had a kiddie train in the park, but the old one had become inoperable.  However, many individuals in the community did not want to let go of the train tradition.  With the help of grant money, fundraising, and donations the new train is up and running.  You can also see the new train depot/shelter house/bathrooms in the back of the first picture.  This was all part of the train project.  Now the little ones can ride the train FREE on the weekends.  In October it will be open a couple hours on Saturday and Sunday for families to enjoy!  We stopped by the park after the soccer game on Saturday morning.  It was a beautiful morning to enjoy the park and the train ride!

Isaac and Isabella actually got to ride on it back in August when they were testing it out, but I didn't have my camera with me at the time.
Isabella sat all the way in the back and Isaac was in the very front.

All Aboard!  Here we go!

The park even has its own crossing!

A beautiful morning in the City Park!

It appears that Isabella is hiding, but she really is just a little cold!

Chalk Artist

Last weekend we enjoyed the nice weekend playing outside.  I traced the munchkins names and then we colored their names in.  Isabella's name was 100% colored by her.  Isaac colored some of his, but was more interested in helping his dad with putting rock around the back of the house.

State Fair Pedal Tractor Pull

Last weekend we headed to the State Fair on Sunday for Isabella to participate in the State Pedal Tractor Pull.  It was a VERY hot day, but we had a great time.  Isabella did well she pulled 22 feet 2 inches. (The winner pulled 28 feet.) She didn't place, but it was fun be able to participate.
