Play Time

Isabella being a rock star. Don't you just love the tiger sunglasses?
What a wonderful duck pond prize at the recent church picnic.
Isaac modeling this wonderful old hat of mine.

My mother has been cleaning upstairs in closets where her children have all of these valuable treasurers from the past. She had a nice pile for me, all stacked up in the upstairs hallway to take home with me. There was everything from a report on Georgia I wrote in sixth grade, souvenirs when I went to Washington D.C. in high school, a folder of old Valentine cards from in elementary school, and of course this lovely Moor Mans hat that I owned as a child.
Isaac LOVED the hat.
He first said, "Look there's a cherry on top!"
He then decided it would be his mouse hat. I am not for sure why, but he makes a lot of squeaking noise when he wears it. Mice it seems he likes a great deal. I can barely stand to look at them when I take the kids to Pet Co. I look for a second and then have to turn away. They just freak me out. Isaac on the hand finds them the most enjoyable animal to look at in the entire store!

First Day of Preschool

Yes, it is hard to believe, but our little Isaac headed out for his first day of preschool today. He was SO excited he woke up at 6 o'clock. The only tears today were Isabella's. She of course cried because she didn't get to go to preschool, too. Isaac was so excited he didn't really care that I was walking out the door at The Gingerbread House. He did at least yell bye mom. Isabella pouted all the way to Hope's house about how it wasn't fair that she couldn't stay, too.

Isaac trying to explain to Isabella that she wasn't
going to get to stay with him at preschool.
Isaac is SO excited about his first day!

The more studious Isaac.

Looking sharp with his new backpack.

Finding a Worm

It rained this morning so the worms were out and about tonight. Isaac happened to find one on the front sidewalk. Isabella and him enjoyed holding him and checking him out. Then Isabella let him go back into the grass.

Omaha Children's Museum

We took the little ones to the Children's Museum in Omaha when we visited at the beginning of August. This was an awesome place for little ones to explore and have fun!

Isaac loved exploring the fire truck.

Isabella loved the water.
Good thing we had extra clothes in the car.
She was a little wet when done playing.

The market was a highlight for both of them.
Here Isabella is checking out.

Of course if there is a tractor in a mile radius Isaac is going to find it!

They loved the ball room. Here they put the balls into the pipes and they float in the air from the air being from the tubes.

School Has Started

As you might have been able to tell I am back in school. Teachers went back on August 10th. I am going to try to at least post once a week here. However, I also have to keep up my school blog for my parents and students, too!

A Little Vacation

We took a little trip this past week. It was actually our first little trip for an extended amount of time with the kids. We first went up to Belleville and stayed with Matt's parents for a few days. This was a multi-purpose trip. The Republic County Fair was going on and Matt had his 25 year High School Class Reunion. From there we traveled on to Omaha and stayed a few days. We took the kids to the zoo and the children's museum. Which were both wonderful! They had a great time at both. Here are a few pictures of the first part of our trip to start with. I'll post a video when I have some time to polish it.

Isabella loves the carousel.
Here she is riding an elephant.
She doesn't like to just ride a plain old horse!
Isaac with Grandpa Wilber on one of his restored tractors.

Isaac and Isabella enjoying lunch at the church stand at the fair.

Speeding away on a jet ski!
