Isaac Lost His First Tooth

Isaac lost his first tooth today! He was really excited about it being loose, but not so happy after I pulled it out as you can see.

Fun at the Creek Again

On Tuesday we went up to my folks.  Matt had to crop scout, so we all rode along.  It was another 100 degree day.  I had thrown in the kid's old swimsuits, so they could enjoy the creek below the house.  I do believe I spent many many many hours in  and around this same creek as a child.  Wanda and I would take our dolls in their bathtubs and float them down the creek for hours on end!

State 4A Soccer

At the end of May cousins Bekka and Abby played in the state soccer championship for 4A. They did not get into the championship game, but not from lack of effort. They went into multiple overtimes and penalty kicks, but in the end did not come out on top. However, they did end of placing third in the state. We went down to Wichita and watched the game. This game was a blowout! Abbie as goalie touched the ball maybe twice.

Deanna Rose Farmstead

Back at the beginning of June we went to Kansas City for Bekka's High School Graduation Party.  (I know little Bekka already a high school graduate.  Where did the time go?)  After church Sunday morning we went to one of the kids favorite places . . . Deanna Rose Farmstead.  This is a great little place ran by the City of Overland Park, and it is just a few minutes from Wanda's and Karla's house.  It is free during the week, but just a few dollars on the weekends.  The kids love to feed the goats, go fishing, ride the pedal tractors, and see farm animals.

The Fourth is Around the Corner

I think this is the last flag dress of the Flax girls that Isabella will wear.  There were 2 all together, because Karla put all three girls in matching dresses when they were little.  For at least the past 4 years Isabella has worn a flag dress around the Fourth of July.  I think they are still darn cute!

The kids also thought they should have pictures with one of their favorite friends, Mr. Teddy and Miss Zebee!

Isabella's Preschool Program

Isabella had her preschool program towards late May. There was no graduation gown and hat like Isaac's preschool, but she got over that disappointment. She is no longer a Pre-K student. We received her enrollment forms for kindergarten today in the mail!
Let's get this show on the road.
The little boy to the left is Charlie.  Charlie goes to the same daycare and was in the 3 year old preschool class with the same teacher.  Charlie would always fill Isabella in on what was for snack at preschool, before she headed out for the afternoon class.

So Cute!

Bus Safety Contest

Isaac is still waiting patiently to see how he did the State Bus Safety Poster Contest. Entry forms were due in May. He loves to draw, but only in miniature version. He is not BIG on drawing BIG items. I love all the details he puts into his drawings three of the red buildings with flat roofs are schools. The other is a red house.

Visit to the Zoo

Thursday we took the munchkins to the Topeka Zoo and Gage Park.  The weather was beautiful, not too hot.  Since it rainded almost 2 1/2 inches Matt went along, too!

Teacher Gifts

I love Pinterest! There are SO many ideas at the tip of your fingers, but it can also be a time consumer too, if you let it. One easy and affordable idea I found was teacher gifts, for Isaac and Isabella's teachers. It was basically just a picture frame, tag board, glue, and a box of crayons. I think they turned out marvelous! See what you think.

Last Day of School

The last day of school was SEVERAL weeks ago, but I am trying to make up for lost time. Isabella was SO excited for summer to begin. Isaac on the other hand was very sad and teary eyed anytime that the last day of school was mentioned. He really had a an awesome kindergarten year, and he didn't want it to end.

There is always someone that doesn't want to cooperate for pictures.

Love this picture!

This does mean know that I officially have 2 school aged children!  Wow where did these first 6 years go?

T-Ball

Isaac and Isabella are both on the same t-ball team this year. (This is great, because then that means one practice and one game a week!) It is a very slow paced game, but they both love it when they get a good hit. Their favorite is to be the last one to bat. Then they can run all the bases!
