Ice is Better Than Snow

Isaac had a fun afternoon sledding on the icy  grass.  If he didn't steer just right he hit a few road blocks, but when he was on the right path he had a great ride.  Normally, the kids can just make it to the garden (the rectangle area of dirt), but the icy grass made for smooth sailing.

Recent Conversations

Bella:  Isaac, I am going to marry you.
Me: Bella, you can't marry your brother.
Bella: But, he is the only boy I love.
Isaac: It is okay Bella, we'll just live together.

Bella:  I am not going to have a job when I get older.
Me:  Why?
Bella:  I am going to be a mermaid. What do mermaids eat?
Isaac:  They eat seafood Bella.
Bella: What is seafood?
Isaac: It is fish, shrimp, and lobsters.
Bella: Do they make waterproof cameras?
Me: Yes.
Bella:  I need one to take pictures of the dolphins when I am a mermaid.  I am going to take care of all the little fish and dolphins.
Me:  Bella, mermaids are not real.
Bella: Oh.
Isaac: It is okay Bella.  You can be what ever you want to be.

Catching Snowflakes

The snow just keeps coming these past two weeks.  Isaac begged and begged to go out yesterday when it was snowing.  He wanted to catch snowflakes on his tongue.  He also did a little cleaning of the sidewalk, but as fast as it was snowing it was pretty useless. Isabella on the other hand had already told us that she HATES bundling up to go out.

Snow Day

Today we all got to enjoy a day off from school.  The little ones had a great time sledding, help shovel the walk, making snow angels, and of course eating a little snow.  Isaac says it taste like sugar.

K-State Fans

I took the little munchkins to the K-State ladies game against OSU yesterday. They were soooo excited about going!  Isaac loved the band the most. (Big Surprise)  Isabella was disappointed that the orange team lost and that she didn't get to talk to Willie.  She was very close to getting to talk to him, but he moved on before it was her turn.
